A Word for Today

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Why should I be discouraged, when God is my expected end. No matter what happens to me, I can know that God Loves me. His Love transcends my error. His compassion is new every morning. I can hold my head up and say, "Lord forgive me for my sins and transgressions."

He walks through the earth to save such a one as myself. I am a man with no understanding of high things, and my knowledge is very limited. They laugh at me at the marketplace and along the way, because of my lack of knowledge. My teachers call me a "special child," while they fawn over me as if I were a dying patient at the local Hospital.

But you stretched out your hands Lord and saved me from shame and ridicule, from the sharp arrows of the tongue of the tormentors, and placed me above my teachers, for they had no knowledge of you. They have studied the depths and span the skies, they have searched the heavens with mighty telescopes and high tech cameras, and yet they say to me, "Where is your God?"The earth heard it and groaned because of her waiting, on you. Waiting on you, Waiting on you. Your glory shall be glorious and your glory shall be next.

And now Lord I receive your Love for me, I am blessed because of your Love. I wait on you to transform my mind, and my appetite is still, until a see your glory. You have filled my heart with knowledge that my fathers did not know. You filled my heart with a mind of wisdom, that I might be still. My Spirit knows your affection and my tongue was glad to praise you. Thank you Lord for Loving me.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:8
